Manhattan: 6th Avenue - Waverly Place
Sixth Avenue, east side, north of Waverly Place, showing two 3-story structures that were formerly No. 80 and 82. The first is reputed to have been at one time "The Allens" a notorious gambling place. The store's last tenent was the wholesale hotel chinaware firm of R. Seccos and Sons. View 2 shows the cleared site of this and adjoining buildings. The rear tenements are at the back of NO's 58-60 W. 8th St. The "Allen" location would be on the extreme right margin, abutting the side wall of the Van Voorst, the 9-story apartment house at No. 123-5 Waverly Place.
