Brooklyn: Fulton Street - Tillary Street

Fulton Street (elevated thereon), east side, north from near Tillary Street, showing W. P. A. laborers demolishing all the buildings on the east side of Fulton Street as well as those on Liberty Street (right) to make way for the construction of a wider approach to the Brooklyn Bridge. View 1 shows Fulton Street extending north to Concord Street and view 2 shows the area north from Concord to Nassau Streets. In the lower right hand corner, at the S. E. corner of Concord Street, is Peter's Tavern, formerly the Brooklyn Savings Bank. The building is about a century old. The buildings seen in view 2 will also be demolished.
