19th Road, north side, at 78th Street, showing one of the Rapelye houses, a colonial structure. The house stands on what is the former Old Bowery Bay Road, a few yards inside the limits of the old town of Long Island City, and dates back prior to 1750. The old family burying-ground is directly behind the house and can be seen on photographs bearing a 19th Avenue location.
