27th Avenue, north side, just west of 9th Street, showing the Josiah Blackwell House of 1873. It stands about 160 feet back of the street on elevated ground. When 8th Street will be cut through north from 27th Avenue, the wing of the house will face on that street. 27th Avenue is the former Franklin Avenue, and 9th Street the former Wardell Street.
