47th Street, north from Broadway, across Newtown Road. At the latter is a late nineteenth-century home, bearing No. 47-01 Newtown Road. In rear of it is an old farmhouse, on the west side of 48th Street. The property was owned by J. Murphy in 1873. P. L. Sperr October 31, 1936 Views 1,2.
