59th Place (foreground), between 56th Drive (left, not shown) and Maspeth Ave. (right). Shown at the left foreground is an old farmhouse occupied by one Kolyer in 1875 and owned by the following: F. Divine 1860, Schwigert 1873, and Van Mater in 1891. When 60th Street, formerly Washington Place, was extended, the house was moved west about 100 feet. It now occupies lots 105 and 107, the location in this view. At the right, partially shown is an old home demolished prior to 1929. Under construction in the background is P.S. 72 opposite 60th Street.
