Flushing Meadow Park (Queens): Two views of the expansive grounds of the New York World's Fair 1939-40, viewing north from Union Turnpike at Grand Central Parkway. The body of water is Willow Lake, in the amusement area; and across it is the main exposition center with the perisphere and Trylon--the Fair's theme--clearly visible; to its right is the parachute jump.
