Queens: Ransom Street - 88th Avenue
Ransom Street (Shaler Street), at the S.E. corner of Eighty-eighth Ave. showing what Eugene L. Armbruster states doubtfully to be the A. Graf house in 1896 and the old Kissam House before that. There are 33.1 acres of ground belonging to the B.T. Kissam Estate, south of Eighty-eighth Ave. to Braddock Ave. (Rocky Hill Road in 1909.) On this property there were two dwellings, one east of Ransom Street (formerly Shaler Street) and about 720 feet north of Braddock Ave., and the other, demolished in 1928, was north of Braddock Ave. and 1200 feet east of Ransom Street.
