Queens: Springfield Boulevard - 56th Avenue
Springfield Blvd. (Rocky Hill Road), east side, between Fifty-sixth Ave. (Nassau Ave.) and Seventy-third Ave. (Cedar Lane). This is a set of three views taken from different angles. Jeremiah Valentine settled on this farm which comprised 67.4 acres in 1812. His son Thomas occupied it in 1880. In 1934, one Klein lived in it. If one were locating this house in 1937 it would be, if still standing, 900 feet north of Seventy-third Ave., approximately between Sixty-seventh and Sixty-ninth Aves. January 1923. Eugene L.
