Richmond: Arthur Kill Road - Botany Place
(1) Arthur Kill Road, west side, south of Botany Place, showing the Disosway House. It stands about 200 yards back of the road, facing the shore of Arthur Kill. According to Beers' 1874 map it belonged to Mrs. Totten. Subsequent maps, from 1898 to 1917, indicate it to have belonged to George Starr. The house was demolished when the Outerbridge Crossing was erected in this area. Another Disosway house, bearing No. 4905 Arthur Kill Road, stood 100 yards south of this house, about 100 feet back of the road, at Station Avenue. Spring 1920. By Wm. T. Davis, through P.L.
