Manhattan: Madison Avenue - 23rd Street (East)

Madison Avenue, from East 23rd (right) to 26th (left) Street, (buildings thereupon) as photographed across Madison Square Park from 5th Avenue. Prominently shown is the progressive blockwide project conducted by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. This annex will on completion include the entire site from 24th to 25th Streets, and east to 4th Avenue. The remaining structure (N. E. corner of 24th Street), is the office building that replaced the distinguished Madison Square Presbyterian Church. Completed and occupied is the easterly half that fronts on 4th Avenue.
