(1) 188 to 194 Third Ave. (left to right) at, adjoining and north of the N.W. corner of East 17th Street, showing No. 192 under demolition. The ornate building, No. 190 is occupied by the German-American Rathskeller. This was formerly Scheffel Hall and a part of William Allaire's Restaurant which included the structure under demolition and that adjoining. Partially seen on the extreme right is No. 196.
