Third Avenue, east side, from 16th to 17th Streets. The building in the centre foreground is the Memorial Chapel of St. George's Protestant Episcopal Church, built in 1888 as a gift of the elder J. Pierpont Morgan. The church itself, a portion of which is seen in this picture, was built in 1849. July 13, 1929. P. L. Sperr.
