Manhattan: 16th Street - 3rd Avenue

Memorial Chapel of St. George's Protestant Episcopal Church, 16th Street adjoining N.E. corner of Third Avenue, seen across clearing at S.E. corner. This building was erected in 1886, the gift of the elder J. Pierpont Morgan. The church itself, a small portion of which is seen at the right, was built in 1849. July 13, 1929. P.L. Sperr.
