Manhattan: 6th Avenue - 49th Street (West)

(1) Sixth Ave., east side, between West 49th (right) and 50th (left) Streets. This block, mostly brownstone, which contained numerous and well known speakeasies, has just been razed. In the center, on the east side of Fifth Ave., is Sak's Fifth Ave. Dept Store.
