Queens: Borden Avenue - Vernon Boulevard
10-11 Borden Avenue, adjoining the N.E. corner of Vernon Boulevard. This house, as well as all others on the block, were later torn down to make way for the construction of the sunken plaza of the Queens-Midtown Tunnel. On the left is the rear of the Clay Building, on Jackson Avenue. This site, below street level, marks the tunnel's exit. November 17, 1938 New York City Tunnel Authority
