Manhattan: 7th Avenue - 41st Street (West)

Seventh Avenue, north from W. 41st Street, towards Times Square. North of 42nd Street this thoroughfare loses its identity, becoming a portion of Times Square: the buildings on all sides bearing Broadway addresses. The Paramount Building which is prominently shown is an outstanding example of that practice. The tower-like structure outlined by the latter, is at the N.W. corner of 42nd Street, and is a portion of the improvements made to the building housing the Rialto Theatre. Opposite same, and partially seen on the right, is the westerly side of the Times Building. At the left, between 41st and 42nd Streets are, the Stanley Theatre (motion picture) and the Hotel Hermitage.
