Manhattan: 7th Avenue - 41st Street (West)

Seventh Avenue, north from W. 41st Street and viewing towards Times Square, a district that absorbs this thoroughfare, from 42nd to 47th Streets. Prominently shown is the dominant Paramount Building occupying the 43rd to 44th Street frontage. Above same is the Hotel Astor. The old Rialto Theatre is being demolished in View 1. A two story taxpayer, containing stores and a restaurant was erected here. View 2 is taken during the track removal project conducted by the W. P. A. Note the bus that has replaced the street cars.
