Manhattan: Washington Street - Perry Street
Washington Street, west side, from Perry Street to West 10th (formerly Amos) Street. The Beadleston & Woerz Brewery runs through the block from the south side of Charles Street to the north side of West 10th Street. In the foreground, Charles Lane (formerly Pig Alley) runs through the block, halfway between Perry and Charles Streets, from Washington to West Streets. This land on the west side of Washington Street, between Perry and Christopher Streets, was the site of the State Prison during the first quarter of the nineteenth century. July 30, 1932. P. L.
