Queens: Buhrman's Lane - West Alley Road

Alley Park: Buhrman Lane (Horace Harding Boulevard), north side, between West Alley Road (left) and Alley Park East (right). Buhrman Lane is seen at its junction with Buhrman Lane on the N.W. side of Alley Pond. This is a set of two views from slightly different angles. The structure shown, erected in 1828, is stated by some newspapers to be the first Post Office in the town. The same being transferred to Flushing Village when Broadway was constructed and traffic diverted to the new road. 1922. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection.
