Celebrations, Parades and Municipal Events: The Dewey Arch erected on Fifth Avenue at E. 24th Street. This photograph is eastward towards the building line at Madison Avenue. Appearing there is the Madison Square Presbyterian Church (erected 1854) surrounded by the ever growing Metropolitan Life Ins. Co. At the right margin is the old Hotel Bartholdi at the S. E. corner of 23rd Street and Broadway. 1898.
