Manhattan: 42nd Street (West) - Broadway
West 42nd Street, south side, west from (No. 138; the Cameo Theatre) a point slightly east of Broadway and across same. The 15-story structure on the left is the former Knickerbocker Hotel that has been converted to business purposes. It bears Nos. 1462-1470 Broadway and stands at the S.E. corner of West 42nd Street. West of same appears a low structure occupying the apex of a triangular plot between Broadway and Seventh Ave. Progressing in the same direction one sees the 24-story Candler Building and the modern Graybar Building; the latter being between Eighth and Ninth Aves.
