Manhattan: Broad Street - Exchange Place

Broad Street from and including Exchange Place to and including Wall Street, also showing the west side of Nassau Street from Wall to Cedar Streets. In the centre, the 38-story Equitable Trust Company Building is being erected on the site of the old Mills Building, built in the 1880's. Above it, on Wall Street, is the Sub-Treasury Building, built in 1842 on the site of the old Federal Hall, where the Federal Government of the United States was inaugurated and George Washington inducted as the nation's first president. In the left background may be seen the New York Stock Exchange, on the S.W. corner of Broad and Wall Streets. Across from it between the Equitable Trust excavation and the Sub-Treasury, is the building of J.P. Morgan & Company. 1926. Brown Brothers.
