Manhattan: Broad Street - Exchange Place

Broad Street, north across Exchange Place, showing the Curb Market in action. The various brokers and traders transact their business in the street and signal results to their office associates in the fore ground buildings. Subsequently they will erect a building to house this exchange. At the left are, the Johnston, Blair, Mackay, N. Y. Stock Exchange, Gillenden, and Hanover Trust Bldgs.
