Queens: Jamaica Avenue - 127th Street

Jamaica Avenue, north side, between 127th and 130th Streets, showing the Dow Ditmars house. Some occupants of this property were P. Cary 1860 and Mrs. L.G. Blinck in 1872. Other owners were Dominicus Vanderveer in 1881, and Mrs. O'Conner in 1891. It was sold in 1891 and one Adikes was the owner in 1922. The house was demolished in October 1928. No. 3 looks east and shows the Long Island Railroad embankment in the background. In View No. 4 the B.M.T. Elevated structure is seen towering over Jamaica Avenue.
