Manhattan: Vanderbilt Avenue - 42nd Street
Vanderbilt Avenue, west side, from 42nd to 43rd Streets, showing a corner of the Pershing Square Viaduct in the right foreground, and a portion of the Hotel Biltmore on the N.W. corner of 43rd Street. The building shown on 42nd Street, to the left of the picture, is the newly erected Liggett-Ley Building on the N.E. corner of Madison Avenue and 42nd Street. Later views of Vanderbilt Avenue will show that eleven stories have been added to the building which fills the center of this picture. About 1922. Gift of E. M. Jenks.
