Manhattan: 9th Avenue - 31st Street (West)

(1) Ninth Ave. (foreground), north from and including West 31st (right), to and including West 33rd Streets, showing the general Post Office building extending eastward to Eighth Ave. On the east side of Eighth Ave., and extending eastward to Seventh Ave. appears the Pennsylvania Railroad Station. Directly across same (right) is the 26-story Equitable Life Assurance Society Building, on the east side of Seventh Ave. from West 31st to West 32nd Streets, and the Pennsylvania Hotel, from West 32nd to West 33rd Streets. In the background appear the lower stories of the Empire State Building, and (left) the 45-story Nelson Tower, No. 446-456 Seventh Ave., between West 34th and West 35th Streets.
