Manhattan: 23rd Street (West) - 11th Avenue

West 23rd Street, west from Eleventh Avenue, showing the terminus of this crosstown thoroughfare at the North River. Sweeping diagonally across the park at the left, is the elevated West Side Vehicular Highway. This obscures the lower portions of the Lackawanna Railroad Ferry, tho the tower atop appears. Incidentally this faces on Thirteenth Avenue, there being no Twelfth Avenue at this point. View 2 is limited to the north side of 23rd Street extending between these two thoroughfares.
