Stapleton, Staten Island: A general view eastward across the town and piers lining the waterfront on the Upper New York Bay, which later became part of the Foreign Trade Zone. On the right, partially hidden by the sloping hill, is the Municipal Court House, on Targee Street. The piers are No's. 16 (right) to 7. The view is from the Horrmann Mansion, on Howard Avenue near Eddy Street. In the background is the skyline of Brooklyn. P. L.
