Manhattan : 6th Avenue - Houston Street (West).
Sixth Avenue Extension South, north from West Houston Street. Shown under construction is the new thoroughfare and the subway under same. This incorporated the former Hancock Street. The 6 story tenements at the left are at the bend formed by Cornelia Street. This appears in both Views 1 and 2. View 3 is taken from atop the Graphic Arts Building on Varick Street. Note the dome atop the new church of the St. Carlos Missionary Fathers. This organization was formerly located where the circular open pit is in the center of View 2.
