Manhattan: Park Avenue - 37th Street
Park Avenue, east side, from 37th to 41st Streets, but not showing the small building on the N.E. corner of 41st Street. No. 55 Park Avenue, in the right foreground, was built in 1923 on the site of the old Interborough Garden shown in another picture. From 38th to 39th Streets are shown the new apartment buildings built between 1922 and 1924, and behind them the towers of the Chanin and Chrysler Buildings. On the N.E. corner of 39th Street the old houses are being demolished. The tall white building on the N.E. corner of 40th Street is the Architects' Building, erected in 1916. September 10, 1933. P.
