Manhattan: 5th Avenue - 23rd Street

Fifth Avenue & Broadway, west side, from West 23rd to 24th Street's, showing the Fifth Avenue Hotel, opened in 1859 and removed in 1908. To the right is the Albemarle Hotel at the N.W. corner of 24th Street. This adjoins the world famous Hoffman House. To the left is W. 23rd Street, west of the Avenue. The photographers vantage point is obviously the Bartholdi Hotel at 23rd Street, as the apex formed by the convergence of Broadway and Fifth Avenue is in the lower left hand corner.
