Manhattan: Park Avenue - 40th Street

Murray Hill Hotel, Park Avenue, west side, from 40th to 41st Streets, showing part of the 41st Street side of the Hotel Belmont, the latter hotel, although much newer, will be demolished in 1931. In the foreground may be seen the southern end of the Pershing Square viaduct. Behind the Murray Hill Hotel, on the right, may be seen a large office building under construction at the N.E. corner of Madison Avenue and 41st Street. Compare this with the picture taken in 1918.
