Manhattan: West Broadway - Lispenard Street

West Broadway, north from Lispenard Street, showing this thoroughfare subsequent to the de- molition of the Sixth Avenue "El" line. To the right are 3-story buildings at the N.E. corner of Lispenard Street. Running diagonally across the foreground is the Sixth Avenue Extension and from which the photographer is viewing. Canal Street is behind the gas station at the triangular plot formed by the convergence of Sixth Avenue and West Broadway. Upon the west side of the latter and north of Canal Street is St Alphonsus R.C. Church.
