Manhattan: Broadway - 3rd Street (West)

Broadway, west side, south from West 3rd Street, showing prominently the Grand Central Hotel at Nos. 665-677. The Southern Hotel, as shown bears No. 679 and adjoins the 3½-story corner structure, No. 681. Around 1890 the Grand Central became known as the Broadway Central. It stands upon the site of the famous La Farge House. "Boss" Tweed was at one time financially interested in this enterprise. About 1870? Gift of H.D. Jewett.
