Manhattan: West Street - Christopher Street
(1) West Street, center and east side, from Christopher Street to West 10th (formerly Amos) Street, opposite Piers 44 to 45, North River, and east on the north side of Christopher Street towards Greenwich Street. The spires in the background are those of St. Veronica's Roman Catholic Church at 153-139 Christopher Street. March 8, 1929. P. L. Sperr. (2) A portion of the same, showing prominently Nos. 391 to 393 (right to left). No. 388, the 3-story brick, corner building and the adjoining 2½ structure have been demolished in this view. This row of buildings replaced the Weehawken Market that was built here about 1830 on a portion of the New York State Prison site.
