Queens: 37th Avenue - Prince Street

Thirty-seventh Ave., (left) at the N.W. corner of Prince Street (foreground), showing (what the writer believes to be) the Reformed Church of Flushing which was built of granite quarried at Blackwells (now, Welfare) Island. The congregation organized in June 1842 and the cornerstone being laid on August 16, 1843. In 1891 it does not appear as a church in the Realty Atlas of Queens and in 1925 was demolished.
