Queens: 37th Avenue - Prince Street
(1) Thirty-seventh Ave. (right), south side, west of Prince Street (formerly Garden Street), showing Hamilton Hall at the S.W. corner. This building was erected in 1803 at the corner of Main and Locust Streets at a cost of $1250. It then belonged to St. George Episcopal Church. The building was converted into a sunday school in 1811. It was removed in 1860 to the present site. In 1926 its number was 133-48-50 Thirty-seventh Ave. 1922. Eugene L. Armbruster Collection. (2) The same, another view. Eugene L. Armbruster has it that this building was originally St. George's Academy and stood on church property.
