Manhattan: 6th Avenue - Washington Place

Sixth Avenue, north from a point between Washington and Waverly Places and across the latter as viewed from the west side of the Avenue. Shown under demolition is the "El" structure, long a feature of this vicinity. Work on same has reached Waverly Place. Note also the subway construction shack there. The 9 story apartment house partially shown at the right of Views 1 and 2 is the Van Voorst, No. 123-125 Waverly Place. At the left margin appears the clock tower of the Jefferson Market Court.
