Manhattan: West Street - Spring Street
New Freight Terminal dedicated The New York Central's New St. John's Park Freight Terminal in Spring Street on the West Side, was formally dedicated June 28th with officials of the state, city and railroad present at the exercises. The new freight terminal is part of the railroad's West Side improvement project. The next step is the reconstruction of the yards in West 30th st. The above photo shows the special train carrying dignitaries officials and engineers, as it entered the new terminal for the ceremonies. 6/28/34
