Manhattan: West Street - Spring Street

(1) West Street, center and east side, north from and including Spring Street (opposite Pier 35, North River). September 27, 1927. P. L. Sperr. (2) The same, nearly seven years later, not including Spring Street. The Sobol filling station, which is only partly shown at the right, occupies the site of the buildings at and adjoining the north corner of Spring Street. The West Side Elevated Highway was opened from this point to 23rd Street late in 1930; and the new St. John's Park Freight Terminal, from Charlton to Clarkson Streets, is practically completed as shown.
