Manhattan: 2nd Ave. - Stuyvesant St.

St. Mark's-on-the-Bowerie. Second Avenue, west side, from Stuyvesant to 11th Streets. This church is an old New York landmark; in its yard lies the body of Peter Stuyvesant, last Dutch Governor of New Amsterdam. In the right foreground is seen the construction of a building on the former site of the Second Avenue Baptist Church. About 1928. Brown Brothers, Photographers.
