Manhattan: 42nd Street - Madison Avenue
42nd Street, north side, west from Madison Avenue. At the right is the Hotel Manhattan. This structure was later converted into an office building. It stands on the site of the old Draper home. In the center is the Bristol Hotel (with flag atop) located at the N. W. corner of Fifth Avenue. Silhouetted against the Times Bldg is the spire of a Presbyterian Church that faces Bryant Park. Note the "El" station at Sixth Avenue; the subway kiosks in the foreground and the electrified street car tracks. About 1910 Ewing Galloway
