Manhattan: 11th Avenue - 56th Street
Eleventh Ave. (right, fore to background), east side, south from West 57th (center, right to left) Street, showing the new Sheffield Farms plant under construction on the westerly portion of the 57th to 56th Street block. Beneath same runs the new road bed of the New York Central Railroad which appears on the right emerging at a tangent to cross the Avenue to the 60th Street yards. The old plant to the rear of this new building will be razed and the new structure extended shortly. Two private railroad sidings service this enterprise. July 24, 1937.
