Queens: Vernon Boulevard - Borden Avenue
Vernon Boulevard, east side, at Borden Avenue (vantage point). Shown in a general view in a northeasterly direction across part of which was later constructed the Queens-Midtown Tunnel highway after numerous buildings were razed. The area from the foreground extending to the right as far as the group of low tenements -- this being the south side of 51st Avenue--was later converted into the plaza of the Queens-Midtown Tunnel, after all the buildings were torn down.
