(1) Houston Street (formerly Hammersley Street), south side, from West Street towards Greenwich Street. The Church of the Holy Comforter used to stand at No. 345-341, where the billboards now hide the vacant lot; it was taken down less than eight years before the date of this picture. June 3, 1930. P.
