Manhattan: Gramercy Park South - Irving Place

Gramercy Park South, north side, (extreme foreground), at the head of Irving Place, showing the main gate entrance to Gramercy Park and across it a view northward of Lexington Ave., from its point of commencement at Gramercy Park North. In the center of the Park is seen a statue of Edwin Booth, greatest Shakesperean actor, in the role of Prince Hamlet, which was sculptured by Edmond T. Quinn. In the background (right to left) are shown the Chrysler and Chanin Buildings on opposing corners at East 42nd Street.
