Manhattan: York Avenue - 64th Street

Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research, east of York Avenue from 64th to 67th Streets, not showing the power plant at 64th Street and Marie Curie Avenue (formerly Exterior Street). Rockefeller Institute was incorporated in 1901. The old laboratory, shown in the center, with its long axis north and south, was dedicated May 11, 1906. The Main Hospital, on the right, was built around 1910 or a little earlier. Immediately north of the old laboratory is Laboratory No. 2, which is shown in the view of York Avenue from 63rd Street and north, early 1916. Above No. 2 and at right angles to it is the newest laboratory, built in 1930. June 30, 1931. P. L. Sperr.
