Manhattan: York Avenue - 64th Street

York Ave. at the S.E. corner of 64th Street, with the Queensboro Bridge in the right background. The old malting plant of George Ehret, once the American Malting Company, is being demolished. The foot of 64th Street as here shown is the beginning of Exterior Street (name changed in 1935 to Marie Curie Ave.). After the demolition of the brewery Exterior Street will be extended down to 63rd Street, and the plot fenced off, closing this block of 64th Street. October 20, 1930. P. L. Sperr.
