Manhattan: 18th Street (East) - Irving Place
East 18th Street, east from Irving Place, showing mainly buildings on the north side of this thoroughfare, extending to Third Avenue. At that point appears the "El" station of the transportation facility identified with Third Avenue. Across same are the buildings and water tanks of the chemical firm, Elmer & Amend. Note to the right the cleared lot where formerly stood the Huyler Confectionery Co. plant. The side wall exposed by same is the westerly side of the well known "first" apartment house, No. 142 East 18th Street. P. L. Sperr July 19, 1939
